Spartan Spotlight: TSgt Jessica Marrero
Introducing the First-Ever Spartan Spotlight!
At McConnell 22d Force Support Squadron, we are proud to be a team of talented and diverse individuals who make up the heart of our organization. In an effort to showcase the great work that we do, we are excited to launch a new blog series called "Meet the Spartan." Each month, we will be highlighting two to three team members and giving our followers a chance to get to know the Spartans behind the work we do.
Our first Spartan in the spotlight is TSgt Jessica Marrero. Read on to learn about her background, personality, and what makes her unique.
Q: What is your name and job title?
A: I am TSgt Jessica Marrero and I am the NCOIC [Noncommissioned Officer in Charge] of Force Management.
Q: How long have you been with McConnell 22d FSS?
A: I've been at McConnell for just over a year.
Q: Where were you before/Where are you from?
A: Before PCSing here I was stationed at an AFROTC detachment in NYC, I am also from the NYC area.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: I enjoy lifting, digital planning, reading, watching anime and gaming with my friends.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: I won't be satisfied with this life until I go to Japan, it has been my dream to live there since I was 10 years old.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who is just starting out in your field?
A: Learn what your resources are & try to be the best at what you do. Keep your head up & always be yourself, don't compromise who you are.
